Call Congress: Demand Justice For Lorenzo Salgado Araujo

On July 7th, a federal immigration agent shot and killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a man from Mexico, during a traffic stop in Houston.

This tragedy is not an isolated incident; it is part of a systematic pattern we have seen play out for far too long. Lorenzo’s name is now added to a tragic list of community members, including Renee Good and Alex Pretti, whose lives were cut short by ICE violence. Our people are being killed in broad daylight, and this crisis can no longer be ignored.

The time for internal reviews and empty excuses is over. We demand an immediate, fully independent investigation into this killing, and that Congress passes guardrails to protect our communities from rogue and violent ICE actions. Join us by filling out the form to call Congress today.
